For Producers: How to List Your Nuts

Who Can Join?

The Northeast Nutweb is for anyone involved in local nuts—even if you just have a couple trees in your yard! All products must come from 100% nut trees, and you must play a meaningful role in creating the listed products. Once you complete the onlien survey, we will create a profile for you that will appear on this map.

  1. Complete the Online Survey

Creating your producer profile is easy and free! Simply fill out our online survey with your enterprise details. You can complete it on your phone or computer. If you run into trouble, send us an email and we'll figure out how to help.

  2. Provide Your Enterprise Information

The survey will ask you for:

    • Enterprise name (or your name if you don't have a business name)
    • Full address (appears on the map—use a public meeting point if you want to keep your exact location private)
    • Contact information (share as much or as little as you're comfortable with)
    • Description of your operation
    • Optional: Logo and banner images
  3. List Your Products (Optional)

You can choose to list specific products or just maintain a profile. Product categories include:

    • Nuts: Black walnuts, hickory nuts, butternuts, pecans, etc.
    • Nut Products: Nut oils, flours, syrups, or other processed items
    • Tree Seedlings: Young nut trees for planting
    • Harvest Opportunities: Nuts available to be harvested by buyers
  4. Customize Your Product Listings

For each product, you can provide:

    • Product name and description
    • Contact instructions (how buyers should reach you)
    • Price (or note "contact for price")
    • Custom product photo (or use standard category images)
    product listing
  5. Profile Goes Live

After you submit the survey, our team will create your profile and it will appear on the Northeast Nutweb map and producer directory. Buyers can then find and contact you directly.

  6. Manage Your Listings

Need to update your profile or products? Contact the Nutweb manager (details below) and we'll help you make changes.

🌱 Special Note for Butternut Tree Owners

If you have a butternut (white walnut) tree, please consider listing it! Butternut trees are threatened by butternut canker, and identifying apparently resistant trees is critical for the species' survival. Even if you don't want to sell nuts, your tree information is valuable. Contact Black Squirrel Farms for more information.
